The culmination of the air-cooled Porsche occurred in the mid 1990’s with the introduction of the 4th series 911, the “993” series. Thought by many to be the ultimate series of the air cooled family of Porsche, this was the model where the car was built with a multi-link rear suspension attached to an aluminum rear sub-frame, finally curing the oversteer problem about which some people had an issue and had found to be “twitchey” over the years. The 3.6 litre, flat six engine was, for the first time, connected to the new 6-speed manual transmission which provided an improved synchromesh system, making shifting even more pleasurable. The body redesign provided a smoothing of all of the body lines and provided a curvaseous style which is very attractive and very easy and attractive on the eyes. This car had the best features of classic analog design combined with aspects of modern engineering. Our car has a confirmed Carfax report of one-owner history and never any damage or paintwork.
