Open-air shape
The roadster is softer visually, but still very much an M car
Without the coupe roof, the car’s proportions feel less severe and more classically roadster. The long hood still dominates, but the roadster trades some of the coupe’s sculpture for more casual drama.
Buyer relevance now
That broader appeal is part of why the roadster usually costs less than the coupe. Buyers still want the same mechanical seriousness, but the market is slightly more forgiving about color and options.
