2022 BMW M5 CS

BMW has built fast sedans for decades, but the M5 CS is in a different category entirely. When it launched, BMW called it the fastest production car they had ever built, and they backed that up with numbers that are hard to argue with. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 627 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, enough to get to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds. When a four-door family sedan is embarrassing supercars on the most demanding race circuit in the world, the point has been made. BMW put the layout of the Nürburgring embossed directly into the headrests of the carbon bucket seats as a permanent reminder of what this car was built to do. Inside, the carbon fiber bucket seats are up front and rear, all with the Nürburgring embossed into the headrests. The CS trim brings more carbon fiber throughout the cabin than any other M5 variant, and it shows in every surface and every detail. Carbon paddle shifters, M Performance floor mats, and bronze accents carry the exterior theme all the way through the interior.
